Scirocco vs Fishbrain
Fishbrain is a social network for anglers: catch reports on a map, top baits and a logbook, mostly built around the US. Scirocco has no community: it's for going out by boat in the Mediterranean with a reliable forecast and getting back to your own marks. Different jobs.

Frequently asked questions
Is Fishbrain free?
Yes, it's free to download and use. Fishbrain Pro unlocks the advanced map and forecast features; on the US App Store it's sold as in-app purchases from $5.99 to $89.99, including a 1-year plan at $39.99 (checked October 20, 2026).
Do other users see my spots?
On Fishbrain you choose how much location info to share. On Scirocco there's no community and no account: your marks stay on your phone, and with Pro they sync only to your private iCloud.
Can I export my fishing spots?
From Scirocco, yes: a mark, a folder or a track exports as GPX for other apps and plotters. Fishbrain's listing doesn't mention file export.
Is Fishbrain useful for fishing in the Mediterranean?
Its depth charts from Garmin Navionics cover the USA and Canada and its regulations cover US states, so much of the local content is American. The community and catch log work anywhere there are users.
