Save your spots
Add waypoints by long-pressing the map, pasting coordinates, reading them from a photo or importing them from Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad, Humminbird and Raymarine. Scirocco recognizes degrees, minutes, decimals, NMEA and Google Maps and Apple Maps links on its own.
Organize and find
Create folders by spot type, add favorites, search by name, notes, year or month and sort by date, distance, name or visits: it counts your most visited marks from your trips.
Navigate with the compass
If there's land in the way, Scirocco suggests the sea route. The compass shows heading, distance, speed, ETA and estimated fuel use, tells you in words how to correct your course, and the phone vibrates at 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 metres from arrival. All of it on the Lock Screen too, with the Live Activity.
Boat management
Your boat, always under control
Register one or more boats and keep everything in order: engines, documents, insurance and deadlines.
Boat profile
Record name, builder, model, type (RIB, sail, motor), length, registration, home port and photos. Set a primary boat if you have more than one.
Engines and running hours
Add one or more engines with make, model, power, serial number and fuel type. Scirocco tracks engine hours and updates them with every maintenance job.
Documents and certificates
Upload your navigation license, safety certificate, engine power declaration, manual and any other PDF or photo. Always with you, even offline.
Insurance with attachments
Record policies with company, number, amount, dates and multiple attachments (photos and PDFs). Automatic notification before expiry, for the boat and for individual engines.
Deadlines in sight
On the Home, the bell collects the deadlines of documents, policies and maintenance: you see them coming without opening every card.

Does Scirocco work without an internet connection?+
Yes, Scirocco uses your device's GPS and works offline. Without a signal the compass, navigation to waypoints and track recording keep working, and the last downloaded forecast stays available; the map needs a connection.
Can I import my waypoints from other apps?+
Yes. Scirocco imports marks from fishfinders and GPS units (Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad, Humminbird, Raymarine) and GPX, KML/KMZ, Ozi, NMEA and CSV files, with a preview before saving. It also scans photos to extract coordinates and accepts them in any format (DMS, decimal, degrees and minutes).
Is Scirocco free?+
Scirocco is free with up to 20 waypoints. Scirocco Pro costs €3.99/week (3-day free trial) or €29.99/year (7-day free trial) and adds unlimited waypoints, boats with engines and fuel calculation, maintenance, insurance and boat documents, and automatic iCloud backup. The marine forecast and personal documents are free.
How do I calculate fuel consumption?+
Scirocco Pro includes a database of 105 preconfigured engines. Enter your engine, cruising speed and route: you get estimated range and cost.
Can I manage my boat with Scirocco?+
Yes, with Scirocco Pro. You can register one or more boats with technical details, photos, engines with running hours, digital documents (license, certificates) and insurance policies with expiry notifications.
Does Scirocco keep track of maintenance?+
Yes. You can log completed work with date, engine hours and notes, or schedule future maintenance. Scirocco sends you a notification when a job is coming due.
How does the fuel calculation work?+
With Scirocco Pro you get a database of 105 engines with preconfigured consumption. Enter your tank capacity, current level and price per liter: while navigating you'll see estimated consumption, cost and a real-time range alarm.
Can I record GPS tracks of my trips?+
Yes. Scirocco records GPS tracks in the background with a configurable interval from 1 to 30 seconds. For each track you get distance, duration, average and top speed. You can export to GPX and unfinished tracks are recovered automatically.
Can I back up my boat?+
Yes. You can export the complete boat profile in .scirocco format, including engines, documents, insurance and maintenance. The file can be re-imported on another device.
Does Scirocco have a marine weather forecast?+
Yes, for free. Wind, gusts, waves and rain for 7 days, hour by hour, where you are or anywhere you search, plus the tide for the next 24 hours, swell, current and water temperature. It compares several weather models to tell you how reliable the forecast is, and the last forecast stays on your phone without a connection.
Can I keep my boating license and personal documents in the app?+
Yes, free and unlimited: boating license, fishing license, diving card, medical certificate, ID card and passport. Scan them or attach a photo or PDF, and Scirocco reminds you before they expire. The copy in the app does not replace the original document.
