Do I need weather routing for coastal trips?

Usually not. Weather routing matters when the route is long and the weather changes along the way. For a few hours out, hourly wind, gusts, waves and storm risk at your destination are what you need.

Which weather model is most accurate in the Mediterranean?

It depends on the area and the day. Global models like ECMWF are solid offshore; near the coast, among islands and bays, a 2 km model like ICON-2I catches details that coarser models miss. If the models disagree, trust the forecast less.

Does it work offline at sea?

Scirocco keeps the last forecast for 7 days, and compass, navigation and the route around the coast work without a connection. PredictWind's listing doesn't say how its forecasts work offline.
